Skol Golden Fly
An excellent bioconvertor for organic waste
Project Center for Agro Technologies
We care our mother planet
Collecting, transferring, disposing and storing of waste is one of the most problematic global issue. With increasing the urban population, it is going to be worse and more difficult to deal with. The generated waste per person per day ranges from 0.11 to 4.54 kilograms. Its really huge!

Some part of the waste, including plastics, metals, glasses etc. are separated and recycled by industrial approaches. But the bio-related wastes are mostly end-up in the landfill places in which organic material decomposes in large heaps under anaerobic conditions. It causes dangerous problem for the environment like atmospheric effects and toxic gas emitting, contamination of underground waters, and health effects for the people who living next to landfill areas.

Insects always help up to survive!
Several insect species have been applied by human to produce food and pest-controlling in organic farms. Honey bee, the lovely insect is a most famous example!

Here, we are thinking about how to ask insects to give hand for protecting our planet!
Some insects can feed on organic waste and prevent the contamination-related issues by accelerating waste decomposition and conversion. Black Soldier Fly (BSF) is one of the highest efficient and eco-friendly bio-convertor.
We are running a project to improve the genetic potential of the larvae for survival rate, conversion efficiency, dry matter body mass and specific body weigh amino & fatty acid compositions.
